The Silver Chair

£99.00 Out Of Stock

Product description

First published in 1953 this is the Second Impression of this book.  It is in very good condition for its age with only some foxing here and there.  The jacket is in fair condition; it has some wear and tear to it but this can be expected for its age.  Inside the front cover is a  'Map of the Wild Lands of the North' and inside it is illustrated throughout.

When Jill Pole was carried off by Magic from a horrid school in England to the Castle of Cair Paravel, she was given a bedroom in a turret and the window looked west into the strange land of Narnia.  It made her long for more adventures and feel sure that this was only the beginning.....

It was, too.  In this book you can read how she and Eustace rode on Owls, met a Marsh-Wiggle,
travelled North into the Giant's country, came back to Narnia by the underground way, and thus carried out the task which the Great Lion, Aslan, had set them.
