Konishiroku Konica model 1 type B rangefinder 35mm film camera. Occupied Japan.

£195.00

Product description

Early Konica rangefinder of type 1. This camera was made in occupied Japan from 1946. This is slightly later, around 1948, and is a type B. Some of these were made without the 'Made in occupied Japan' stamp on  the base. Some of these had a small cutout to allow the insertion of this marking. This model has this cut in (see images). It is fully working. The condition is good with only minor signs of age and use. There are no dents or significant scratches and the lens is free of damage, fungus and blooming. The shutter speeds all work pretty accurately as far as I can tell. The lens is a Konishiroku Hexar 50mm f3.5. Shutter speeds range from 1/500-1 sec + B. Aperture range f3.5-22. Serial no. 8541 (body and 9490 (lens). Size approx. 135x50x80mm (the lens extends when in use increasing this to 135x62x80. Weight 600g. The original leather case is included which is a little worn but in good condition. Note Leather camera straps of this age SHOULD NOT BE TRUSTED!
