Product description

Small brown cloth covered book with an illustration tipped to the front cover and surrounded by an illustration of a rustic frame.  The corners are bumped and the edges are rubbed but the colour of the spine is retained.  A previous owner has a name plate tipped to the inside front cover plus her name written above it and on the fep another previous owner has inscribed her name and address.  On pages 4 and 5 some figures have been written below the text in ink, apart from that the book is clean, bright and tightly bound.  There are charming illustrations throughout by C L Butler, all the plates have the same rustic frame as on the front cover including the frontispiece, there are also numerous small illustrations throughout the text.  The book was published in 1910 by C M Clark of Boston, Massachusetts, USA.
